Yep, the movie about flight attendants with Gwyneth Paltrow, Mike Myers, Christina Applegate, and Candice Bergen. Sure, a bit cheesy, but nevertheless it hits home. It may sound vain to line myself up with the leading character, but I can’t help but relate. Wanting to get out of a town you grew up in (a town just far enough from Raleigh that it felt like light years away) to see the world....

Light at the end of the tunnel?
I don’t want to go to sleep. Because that means I’ll have to wake up and start a new day. Another day. Of increasing stress. Car troubles. Moving woes. Looming deadlines. Stomach knots. Head spins.
Tomorrow is my last free day before six more days on call, then a moving day, and then four driving days. But I’ve gotta figure out how to not get ripped off by mechanics as I need...

(less than) Two weeks and counting.
Decided that:
I’m leaving Virginia to trek to Vegas on Tuesday, the 15th. I hope to make the trip in four days at the most.
Instead of my roomie accompanying me, she’ll fly to Vegas to hang once I’m settled.
In hers and my immediate family’s place, one of my very best friends and her hubby will be my cross-country companions as we drive my car on the longest road trip...
